After an unprecedented season, the world’s leading drifting series announced its provisional 2026 calendar, including three new strategic tracks. GT Radial, in turn, reaffirmed its role as the official tire supplier for the PROSPEC category and announced the first names of its team that will compete in PRO, promising fresh excitement on track.

The 2025 Formula DRIFT season was marked by record attendance and engagement. For 2026, the series is gearing up for a bold evolution, with the addition of new venues that promise to further elevate the experience for drivers and fans, as they were strategically chosen to expand the sport’s reach and excitement. The first new venue is Stafford Motor Speedway in Stafford Springs, Connecticut, replacing Englishtown Raceway. Its proximity to Boston is a calculated move to captivate a new East Coast fan base, offering a vibrant stage for competition. The second addition is Indianapolis Raceway Park in Indiana, a city considered the home of American motorsports. The series will bring drifting to a Midwest community passionate about speed. The third is The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, marking Formula DRIFT’s return to the city after twelve years, this time on a reconfigured circuit.

GT Radial will continue to be the driving force behind performance in the PROSPEC category, reaffirming, with the Champiro SX2 RS, its status as the category’s official tire. In the PRO category, after winning the prestigious The Tire Manufacturer Championship in 2025, the brand is ready to defend its title with a team already known for its outstanding technical skills. Most of the drivers who contributed to that victory return for 2026, including Matt Field, Odi Bakchis, Hiroya Minowa, Adam LZ, Rad Dan Burkett, and Dylan Hughes.

For GT Radial, The Tire Manufacturer Championship represented more than a title; it is, above all, a testament to the brand’s commitment to engineering excellence, innovation, and support for the sport’s top talents. Consistency throughout the season and the technical superiority of the Champiro SX2 RS tires helped drivers push the limits, maintaining confidence and control in every battle. By the start of the season in April, new names will be added to this group, further strengthening GT Radial’s presence in the world’s premier drifting competition.
